FON is a network of wireless WiFi hotspots that allow public access to the internet at thousands of locations around the world. So if you are out and about with your laptop, PDA or wireless enabled mobile phone you can enjoy cheap wireless access at your nearest FON hotspot.

Triode Technology has setup several FON hotspots around Easingwold such as Crabmill Lane, Hambleton Way and Church Hill. There are also two hotspots at the George Hotel in the Market Place where customers and residents can use wireless internet whilst enjoying a drink, having a meal or relaxing in their rooms.
